Dear Jones Racing Fans,
Well as most tracks are hitting the mid season
mark we find ourselves leading the Modified
point standings at the Princeton speedway and
currently 2nd in the Princeton speedway Midwest
mod point standings. This is why we chose to
not run the Mod Nationals at the Viking
speedway. We also just finished the Minnesota
Corn Growers Ethanol Series which included three
races for the Midwest modifieds. We left the
Madison speedway on the second night with a win
over some pretty fast Midwest mods. The win put
us tied for 2nd in the series points( 5 points
out of the lead) heading into the final night at
the KRA speedway in Willmar. However we had
some pretty severe transmission problems and
debated pulling the plug on the series and going
home. But in the morning we decided to have a
friend pick up a transmission from Natco in
Isanti an bring it to us in Willmar. We changed
the transmission and gears in a wal-mart parking
lot and were set to go. At KRA we won the heat
putting us tied for second in the series points
with Shane Sabraski and 3 points back from
leader Brain Haben. In the feature we were a
little off and finished a disappointing 6th
place and ended up 3rd in the points behind
Sabraski and Haben. The win at Madison was the
seventh win of the season in the Midwest mod and
moved us up to 9th in the Wissota Midwest Mod
National Points. In the modified we have had
some decent runs but are still looking for the
first win of the year. sorry about the lack of
updates stay tuned for more information.
- Welcome to the 2010 season. The team has made
several changes to the car over the off season to
hopefully put us back into victory lane. We also
plan to run both a Modified and a Midwest modified
again. The cars are nearly complete, we are just
trying to finalize some sponsorship deals before
putting graphics on the cars. Once we get this done
we should have some photos up. The 2010 season will
kick off Easter weekend at Chateau raceway on April
2nd and at Deer Creek on April 3rd. We also have
the entire schedule for the 2010 season posted very
soon! Keep checking back for more updates!
